Description

This press pan is designed for two purposes: pressing dough into flat tortillas and cooking egg rolls. The pan is made from heavy-duty cast aluminium with a thickness of 3 mm, providing excellent heat retention and eliminating hot spots. The cooking area is 22 cm in diameter, large enough for standard tortillas or multiple small egg rolls. The surface is coated with a ceramic non-stick finish that is highly resistant to scratches and easy to clean. The handle is constructed from heat-resistant polyphenylsulfone (PPSU), a material known for its mechanical strength and insulation properties. The pan has a hinged upper lid with a flat inner surface that can be used to press dough balls flat or to close over batter for egg rolls. The lid can be adjusted manually to apply different pressure levels, enabling you to control the thickness of your tortillas or egg rolls. To use for tortillas, place a ball of dough on the lower plate, close the lid, and press firmly. For egg rolls, preheat the pan, pour batter, close the lid, and cook until golden. The large surface also works for quesadillas, pancakes, and flatbreads. After cooking, the ceramic coating releases food easily; wash with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, then dry immediately. Avoid abrasive scouring pads. The pan is compatible with gas, electric coil, and ceramic hobs, but not induction. A dough scraper and a small rolling pin are included in the package. This press is particularly useful for those who enjoy making both Mexican and Asian cuisines at home, saving space by combining two functions in one sturdy pan.
